THERMAL IMAGERY

Slim Double Glazing

THERMAL IMAGERY

Slim Double Glazing is relatively new to the market so understandably customers ask how well it can perform against the standard double glazing units with deeper cavities.

We wanted to show customers just how cost-effective it can be to your home and energy bills. So we arranged for thermal imagery to be captured at the break of dawn.

We used a sliding sash window that had only been half finished, where the top had been retrofitted with slim double glazing and the bottom sash window was yet to have the work completed. The results were clear. There was a 3.2˚C difference in temperature (13.4˚C to 10.2˚C) between the top and bottom parts of the window.
